ECCE HOMO is a contemporary meditation on the image of Christ and the visual tradition of the Holy Face.

Part of the Passion series, the work approaches familiar devotional imagery through a restrained editorial lens. It is intended to feel discovered rather than decorative — a piece of Catholic wall art with room for contemplation.


Ecce Homo. A restrained, contemporary devotional print from the Passion series by Ora et Forma. 

 The composition pairs large, near-black serif typography with a heavily degraded, frontal image of a human figure made legible as Christ through the accompanying inscriptions: “Ecce Homo” and the smaller uppercase Latin phrase “QUI TOLLIS PECCATA MUNDI.” 
 The artwork is dominated by a pale turquoise / powder-blue field; the figure is partially obscured by bleaching, abrasion, and uneven pigment, producing a worn archival-photograph effect. Strong white scuffed marks and irregular borders interrupt the geometric composition, while the head near the vertical center functions as the visual focal point. 
 The piece reads as a modern editorial take on Passion imagery. Solemn, contemplative, and quietly sacred. 

 Materials & finish: archival-style photographic print with intentional surface distress and typographic overlay (sold as poster, canvas, framed print, tote and digital download).
